On Friday, August 31, 2012. Born September 5, 1925, in Fisher, PA. Longtime resident of Swissvale, born the eldest daughter of Lyda L. Fiscus and Stephen F. Fiscus. Wife of the late August T. Knestaut; mother of Mary L. (Marte) (Knestaut) McCalla, of Ballston Spa, NY and P. Thomas Knestaut of Elizabeth Twp., PA; grandmother of Christopher M. Knestaut and wife, Heather of Elizabeth Twp., Ryan McCalla and Sara Wilcox of Ballston Spa, NY. Preceded in death by brothers, Robert A. Fiscus and David S. Fiscus and sister, Mary F. (Fiscus) Martz. Survived by brothers, Daniel Fiscus and Jerome Fiscus of Brookville, PA and Wayne Fiscus of Prescott, AZ; sister, Rose (Fiscus) Acker of IN; also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. A long time member of St. Anselm Parish and Christian Mothers. Freda graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1947, retired from the Allegheny County Health Department as a Registered Nurse.
