Obituary of Charles Anthony O'Neill

CHARLES ANTHONY O'NEILL of East McKeesport died on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 14, 1950, Charles was the loving son of the late John and Irene O'Neill; brother of Thomas (Mauna) of Atlanta, GA, John (Gayle) of Sterling, VA, Daniel (Mary Ann) of Midlothian, VA and Patrick of Pittsburgh, PA; devoted father of Scott, who preceded him in death; loving uncle of Sean O'Neill, Conor O'Neill, Kevin O'Neill, Brendan O'Neill, Caitlin O'Neill, Meghan O'Neill and Sheila O'Neill. Charles graduated from St. Anselm High School, Swissvale, PA in 1968 and was a graduate of Point Park College, Pittsburgh, PA. An accomplished athlete, Charles was a member of Point Park's varsity baseball team. During and after a career at the Edgar Thompson Works of US Steel, Charles maintained his love of sports whether on the golf course, basketball court or following the Pittsburgh Steelers. Besides his interest in sports, Charles was a master of trivia. Charles will be honored with a grave side memorial service at the Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville, PA on January 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. Arrangements by the Thomas L.
