Robert Lawrence Wershbale

Age 78, of Swissvale, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Bob was born on March 20, 1944, to Eli and Julia Wershbale in Pittsburgh, PA. He began work at the age of six, selling newspapers in the downtown area. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving assignments both domestically and abroad, he began his career as a draftsman with Westinghouse Air Brake Company (WABCo) Union Switch & Signal upon his return to Pittsburgh. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, and pampering the family cat, Bonnie.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara; sons Robert Drew Wershbale (Kate) and Eugene Martin Thelin (Renae), and daughter Susan Thelin Tokarski (Jim); granddaughters Candice, Heather, Samantha, Caitlin, Brienna, Anna, and Lily; great-grandson Preston and great-granddaughters Madison, and Olivia.

He was the loving brother of Nancy (George) Andricik, Jack (Debbie) Wershbale, and the late Joseph Wershbale, Frank Christy, and Barbara Santarcangelo; and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
