Donald G. Freedline, of McMurray, PA, passed away on Friday, January 6th, 2023, age 66. Father of 6: Marija, Margaret, Matthew, Katherine, John, and George, and grandfather of 2: Maximilian and Thomas (MacCamy). Brother to Robert and Sharon Freedline. Don was an accomplished runner – an All-American and member of the school record-holding 1600 meter relay team at IUP. He also went on to shine as a marathon runner, finishing 10th in Boston in 1984, and 4th in the Pittsburgh Marathon two consecutive years (1985, 1986). Don was inducted into the Pittsburgh Marathon Hall of Fame in 2011. Don lived for sports – whether it was hockey, basketball, baseball, or football, he always looked forward to watching every game with his friends and family. As a hobby, Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He loved the ocean and always appreciated the little things in life. He was a kind man, an extrovert, and always enjoyed friendly conversation with anyone. Friends received Thursday Only from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas L.
