Vera D. (Teolis) Palangio, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, of Swissvale. Wife of the late Frank M. Palangio; loving mother of Theresa Maksimchuk and her husband Sam, of Forest Hills, Susan Berthold and her husband Doug, of Forest Hills, Janet Rudge and her husband Bill, of Carlisle, Anthony Palangio and his wife Mary, of Churchill and Carol Palangio of Wilkins Twp.; grandmother of Doug, Charles, Justin, Michael, Brian, Christina, Dana, Adriana, Lauren and Antonio; also survived by her 15 great grandchildren; Sister of Jean Prettyman of Chicago and the late Margaret Perrone, Carmen Teolis, Judith Mylo, Samuel Giancola, Lucy Teolis, Rebecca Fornataro, Madeline Catone, Angeline Garger, Vincent Teolis and Mary Ann Testa. Vera is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Palangio and her husband were the former owners of Swissvale Bowl a Rama. Friends received, Thursday only, from 1-8 p.m. at the Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home, Inc. 7441 Washington Street Swissvale. Mass of Christian burial in the Madonna del Castello Roman Catholic Church, on Friday at 11 a.m., with Father John Lynam officiating.
