Obituary of John C Testa

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Charles Testa, a dedicated son, brother, uncle, and friend, died November 25, 2022 at age 65. John is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann, his father, Robert, his sister Cyndi, and his brother Jason. He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Robert and Gregory, and his sisters-in-law Helene Kess-Testa and Kathy McCullough-Testa. He is also survived by his niece Sarah (Paul), his nephew Bobby, and his great-niece Eloise. John forged deep connections with family (especially his many cousins), with friends, and with neighbors. He had an uncanny ability for remembering every birthday and anniversary, often with a card or letter. "I will always think so fondly of you with love and prayers for as long as I'm around," he wrote in a recent birthday note. John cherished being an uncle. "Santa Claus"–later discovered to have been Uncle Johnny– never failed to make a special phone call to his niece and nephew on Christmas Eve. With the sound of ringing bells in the background and his booming "ho ho ho," John created magic year after year. John's sprawling circle of friends and loved ones is his legacy. Friends received Wednesday 10 - 11:30 a.m. at the Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home, Inc., 7441 Washington Street Swissvale, where a funeral service will take place Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. www.niedfuneralhome.com
