Obituary of Nancy Grana

Nancy (Anna McConnell) Grana, 'our lipstick queen' passed away peacefully at home on Monday November 14, 2022, she was 89 years old. Beloved wife of late Joseph Grana for 70 years, their wedding anniversary is November 17th.

Nancy was born to Philip and Anna McConnell in Swissvale on Nov. 12, 1933. She was a graduate of Seton Hill High School where she was Senior Editor of the school newspaper.

Nancy is survived by her nine children, Michael, Mary (Cissy) Villiotti (Ralph), Mark, Nancy Deacon (Dan), Patty Lampenfeld (Dale), Gerri McDaniel (Jack), Joe (Jen), Cathy (Chickie) Owens (Steve), and Connie. She was the devoted grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Michael McConnell as well as many nieces and nephews. and is preceded in death by five brothers; Philip, Thomas, Patrick, Daniel and David,

Beside raising nine children, Nancy was a partner to Joe at their grocery and meat market from 1963 to 2006.

The family asks in lieu of flowers to send donations to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
