Obituary of Brent Matthew Cable

Brent Matthew Cable Age 47, passed away on October 30, 2022. Born December 9, 1974 Brent was raised in Scottdale, PA after which he lived in various parts of the city of Pittsburgh before moving to Swissvale, where he lived the rest of his life. A graduate of Southmoreland High School and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, Brent spent many years in kitchens and food trucks throughout Pittsburgh. He loved cooking and valued his family's recipes. He recently brought his beloved Grandmother Eleanor's pierogi recipe as inspiration for a restaurant event that was featured on the news. He spent a lot of quality time with his mother, also a Swissvale resident, and was a helpful son. His gregarious and loving spirit will be deeply missed. He is survived by his mother Karen Donaldson wife of Tom Donaldson, father Edward Cable and his wife Lynn (deceased), brother Ben Cable and his wife Nicole, sister Cara Cable and her husband Max Munroe, nephew Ethan Cable, niece Luna Lambert, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 2, 2022 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 7:30 pm, with a service following at 7:30 pm at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC, 7441 Washington St., Swissvale 15218.
