Jack Harry Drenning (Age 79) of Swissvale, PA passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Son of the late Roy M. and Bertha Drenning. Father of the late Jacqueline Lynnette Drenning. Loving grandfather of Brian (Cierra) Lowery and Justine Lowery. Great grandfather of Jaxon Jacob Lowery. Brother of Linda Drenning, Gertrude Cormas, and the late Richard Drenning, William Drenning, Roy M. Drenning, Jr., and Eddie Drenning. Jack proudly served his county for the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Upon retiring in 2005, Jack found peace at his beloved Frick Park, often claiming that the park gave him a new lease on life. Jack would walk twice a day to alleviate the pain of arthritis, and he was blessed with many friends that were there with him until the end. Jack spent so much time at the Park, in fact, people referred to him as "the Mayor of Frick Park". Jack loved cooking, watching movies, hosting family dinners, politics, spoiling his grandchildren, and seeing pictures of his great grandson. Jack was a kind, smart, and generous man with an incredible amount of wisdom that will be carried on for generations. Arrangements were held privately and were entrusted to the Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home, Inc., 7441 Washington Street, Swissvale, www.niedfuneralhome.com
