MADELINE E. GROSSO
Madeline E. Grosso, 97, of Swisshelm Park, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2022.
Madeline was born in Syracuse, NY to Nicolina Antonelli and Devo Maiuri on August 8, 1924. She graduated from Central High School in Syracuse. During her long life, she was employed with Cook Coffee and the Sheraton Hotel. She then worked as the office manager for Hill Haven Nursing Home in DeWitt, NY for many years and she retired from there. At age 70, she sold everything and moved to Palm Coast, FL where she could happily observe the snowy Syracuse winters on the Weather Channel from the warmth of her cozy condo. She volunteered at the Palm Coast (FL) Library and Flagler (FL) Hospital. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2015 and spent seven years with her daughter MaryAnne and son-in-law Mark.
Madeline is survived by her daughters, MaryAnne (Mark) Reardon, Chrissi Antonelli and Janie Sabo, her daughters-in-law, Brenda (Bryan) Fox and Renee Grosso, her beloved grandchildren, Jillian (Jon) Foreman, Cheryl (Todd) Rhoades, David (Kelley) Russo and Keith Sabo, her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Owen, Isla and Nova Jean Foreman, Alexis and William Rhoades, Landon and Kaden Russo. She was predeceased by her late husbands John A. Grosso and Philip Wadowiec, her late son, Jack Grosso and her late son-in-law, Jim Sabo.
A Mass will be held at Madonna Del Castello on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Ken Kezmarsky, presiding. Interment will take place at a future date in Syracuse, NY.
