Obituary of David J Ferguson

David John Ferguson, of Swissvale, passed peacefully in his home on June 28,2022. Born March 28, 1954, Dave is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Ferguson-McDavitt. He is also survived by his son Stephen J Thurston and wife Mikki Thurston (Bagwell), Rebecca Thurston and Brian Laney, Colleen Paladino (Thurston) and husband Anthony Paladino. 8 grandchildren, Eric Anderson and Stephanie Mydlowski and Chelsi Kestner, Emma and Devan Price, Derek Thurston, Anthony and Domenic Paladino. Siblings, Twin brother Dan Ferguson and his wife Marian, Kathy Ferguson, Karen Ferguson-Piett and Tim Piett, Jack Ferguson, and sister-in-law Jackie McDavitt. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. And we can't forget his beloved dog, Roxy.

Dave was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending his time woodworking and enjoying his family. Dave had several occupations during his life but took great pride in his job at Home Depot in East Liberty.

Dave never met a stranger and if you knew him, he was a friend for life. You could find Dave most days writing and was an amazing artist. He will forever be missed.
