NORMA JEAN EBNER CLINE
Although Norma Jean Ebner Cline passed away on 14th of January, her soul will continue living on through her adoring family and friends. Norma was a caring mother, sister and grandmother who, throughout her lifetime, devoted herself to her family and the people around her. She was born to the late John (Jack) and Lois Ebner, in Greenfield area of Pittsburgh. (Predeceased by her sisters Kathryn (Kitty) Snellenberger and Patricia (Patty) Farren.) She is survived by her loving daughter Christine and son-in-law Andy Motto. Her beloved grandsons whom she adored and dedicated herself to John (JJ), Tyler and Sean. Norma gained many friends throughout the years, but her best friends in the world were her sister, Marianne (Ebner) and brother-in-law Robert Boff. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and many loving cousins. Norma graduated from St. Rosalia High School in 1961. She later completed her BA in Nursing and dedicated herself to caring for our Veterans at the VA hospital for many years until her retirement. After retirement, she began working part time at Costco because she enjoyed shopping about as much as she enjoyed being around people. Norma was an accomplished trap shooter earning many awards and a position on the Iowa State trapshooting team for several years in addition to becoming the Delaware state champion. She loved to travel and one of her favorite memories was landing a 244lb marlin on a deep sea fishing while in Hawaii. She also loved to spend time (but not money) at the casino. She was a strong, independent woman who lived her life on her own terms. Norma was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. It brings us peace knowing that she is dancing with her dad again. Arrangements entrusted to the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC. 7441 Washington Street, Swissvale. There will be a celebration of life with family and friends scheduled at a later date. www.niedfuneralhome.com
