Obituary of James J. Cravotta

James J. "Champ" Cravotta, Jr.

Age 73, of Swisshelm Park, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with ALS.  He is survived by his wife, Christine (McWilliams) Cravotta; loving father of James (Amy) of Cranberry, Twp., and Peter (Rachel) of Swisshelm Park; grandfather of Carly, Addison, Carmine, Jamie, and Anthony; brother of Cosimo "Lucky" Cravotta and his wife, Diane and the late Charles Cravotta, Sr., and his wife, Mary Joan; loving uncle of Jessica Donachy, Michele Palmieri, Michael and Dominic Cravotta; Chaz and Jason Cravotta.  He spent much of his working life in the commercial moving industry. He touched the lives of many, and made a friend anywhere he went. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and gardening. In his earlier years he was a loved and respected baseball coach in the Swissvale Community.  Above all else he was a family man, who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. Champ was a lover of Doo-Wop, fast cars, and watching movies.  Friends received Monday only 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas L.
