Obituary of Martin Marcus Kempen

Today we mourn the passing of Martin M. Kempen who was born on November 18th, 1982, in Lörrach, Germany and died on December 13, 2021, in Creighton, PA. Martin lived life big and with loud passion. When he got tattoos, he decided a lot of them would make him look scary and nobody would mess with him - never mind his 6 foot 4 impressive stature. When he bought his children a big American bulldog named Meatball, he was the only one that could walk him because the dog was so strong. Martin's convictions were strong too and he made them be heard. On any given day, he could nearly convince you that the world would be coming to an end tomorrow and you'd better be prepared or that you didn't need to be afraid of anything because you were going to make it no matter what. What defined Martin most was the love for his family and especially his children - he so loved his children, Ruby, Leeland and Anthony and worked very hard to provide for them. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kempen, his children, his first wife, Sadie (Donnie), his father, Paul Kempen and his second mom, Gina with her daughter, Nicole (Cody), by his mother, Inge Kempen (Steve) and his sister, Anna - Lena  and his brother, Thomas (Stephanie, Aidan) Martin. Martin will also be missed and mourned by his extensive German family including his Oma Magdalena Dickopf and his many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as friends. We miss you and you will be in our hearts forever. A memorial service, for family and friends, will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 10:30 - 12:00 noon at the THOMAS L.
