Obituary of Rose Marie Kelly

Rose Marie (Wintermantel) Kelly, on Monday, December 13th 2021, of Penn hills, formerly of Swissvale. Beloved wife of the late James Kelly; adored mother of Colleen Friday, of Blackridge, Kimberly Dugita (Barry), of Edgewood; cherished Maw Maw of Kelly and Ryan Friday, Brendan and Aidan Dugita; daughter of the late Agnes and Regis Wintermantel; pre deceased by Regis, Margaret, Louis, Edward, Jimmy, George, Patrick and Sarah; survived by brother-in-law, Jay Kelly and his wife Beverly; sister-in-law, Madge Wintermantel; special aunt of Shay, Jimmy, Maggie, Lisa, Jimmy, Alice Marie, Evelyn, Regis, Karlin, Mary Lou, Jamie and Bernie; life long friend of Donna Rowe; extraordinary friend of Kermit and Jackie Unrue and Mike Keene. Rose was owner/operator of J.R.'s Restaurant and Lounge, for 28 years. She enjoyed her customers as much as they enjoyed her. Rose, and her family, want to thank Diane Karcz, Joe Shaffo, Krystina Warwick and Gallagher Home Health/Hospice for the amazing care. We also want to thank Dr Neil Christie, Dr Timothy Burns and Marcy Youngmark for giving her an extra year with us. Christina, Katie and the nurses of 5 main. Dr peterson, Lauren, Kasey and Katie, in the ER department of shadyside. Dan (Buttercup) and Kerry and all of her friends from Hillman treatment room. A very special thank you to Ronny Catarcio and Kathy Lampenfeld for starting out as nurses and ending up as friends. It always made her feel better when she could pick up the phone and talk to you ladies. Thanks to everyone for always treating our mom like the "prom queen". Friends received 2-8 p.m., Wednesday only, at the Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home, Inc., 7441 Washington Street Swissvale, where she will hold court one last time.
