Michael John Moreau
Born June 12, 1950 a Son of Henry Moreau and Catherine McConville Moreau and proud father of two daughters Lisa and Catherine (Cathie) Moreau. Michael "Skip" Moreau, of Munhall, PA, died in Cabot, (Butler County) PA on October 25, 2021. Mike, 71, was born and raised in Swissvale, PA. He was a military veteran serving abroad in Germany as a young man. He worked in the newspaper printing business for over 40 years. With the help of Alcoholics Anonymous, he got sober almost 15 years ago. He was a man of faith who enjoyed reading the bible, and he was passionate about helping others that were struggling with addiction as a leader in Alcoholics Anonymous. His greatest point of pride in his life was his daughters Cathie and Lisa who he loved so much. He was an avid reader and loved learning about history. Mike had a fantastic sense of humor and one of the kindest hearts anyone would ever know. He was also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed reminding fans of other teams that the Steelers won six Super Bowl championships. He is survived by two daughters, Catherine Moreau of Philadelphia, PA and Lisa Moreau of Reston, VA; two sons in law Christopher DiGiovanni and Mark Rowley, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A viewing will be held at the Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home, Inc 7441 Washington Street Swissvale on Thursday, October 28th from 4-8pm. A mass of Christian Burial will lbe held on Friday, October 29th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations made to the Pittsburgh Central office of Alcoholics Anonymous, and/or the Michael J.
