Kenneth John Chelosky
Kenneth John Chelosky, 79, of Pittsburgh, PA peacefully passed away on October 13, 2021, succumbing to his valiant battle of chronic respiratory failure. He was blessed to be surrounded by his loving family and the caring staff of the UPMC Shadyside Intensive Care Unit.
Ken (known as Pappy) was born on August 23, 1942, to John and Anna Chelosky in Rankin, PA. After graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1960, he studied Art at The Ohio State University. In 1965 Ken was happily married to his sweetheart Frances Marie Bannon, who was his partner in life for over 55 years.
Ken and Fran lived in in Swissvale, PA where they raised 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Ken worked as an engineer with the Westinghouse Corporation, was an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed spending time with his model trains, coin collection, and cooking large family meals.
Ken is survived by his wife Frances (known as Mema); son Aaron (Beth Brady); son Timothy (Mary Jo Chelosky); son Ken (Gerri Ann Chelosky); son Drew (Erin Chelosky); and his one-and-only daughter Jennifer. His legacy lives on through his 8 grandchildren: Dean, Taylor, Amanda, Michael, Ana, Caroline, Molly and Colton; along with his 2 great-grandchildren Peyton and Preston.
He is also survived by his two loving sisters, Marlene and Bernadette; sister-in-law Patricia Bannon (Aunt Patti) and brother-in-law Michael Bannon (the new president of the train club), along with several nieces and nephews.
Respecting Ken's wishes, a private cremation service will be held by his family. Friends and Family are invited to a Catholic funeral service at Madonna Del Castello Church in Swissvale, PA on Thursday, October 21, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L.
