Obituary of William J. Jumper

William J. Jumper Age 79, of North Versailles, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. Born October 30, 1941, he was a son of the late Harold R. Jumper Sr. and Martha "Betty" E. (Glasgow) Jumper. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at IBM as a service technician. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed travelling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Russell A. Jumper Sr. Bill is survived by three sons, Bradley Jumper, Brett Jumper, and Steven Jumper; his brothers and sisters, Kenneth Jumper and his wife Barbara, Harold Jumper and his wife Janet, Diane Purdy and her husband John, Sharon Shearer (late Hugh); one granddaughter, Gwen Jumper and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a resident of Point Pleasant Retirement Community for the last 7 years. Bill's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the residents and staff for always being kind and helpful to Bill. Memorial contributions can be made to the Point Pleasant Retirement Community's Activity Fund. There will be no public visitation. Services and interment are private. Bill will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements are being handled by the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME INC. 7441 Washington Street, Swissvale.
