Obituary of Daniel Joseph Evers

Daniel J. Evers, 63, of Munhall, died Sunday, March 21, 2021, at home. He was born February 4, 1958 in Pittsburgh to the late Joseph and Beatrice Heil Evers. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years Eileen Schmude Evers. Dan is loved and dearly missed by his daughter Ashley McClung Evers (Gary), his four grandsons, Augustus- Gus, Quentin, Finnian, and Dmitrii and his six sisters and brothers Diane Bricker Evers (Randy), Christine Evers, Linda Smith Evers (Jeffrey), Jeff Evers (Karen), Keith Evers (Susan), and Ken Evers (Sandi). He is survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dan grew up in Forest Hills developing a strong interest in all things electrical and electronic. He maintained an electrical workshop and radio shack in the basement and receiving antenna in the attic. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and then the Civil Air Patrol. Dan graduated from Churchill high school in 1976. He worked in his father’s construction business and at Union Switch and Signal in Swissvale for several years before joining the IBEW as an industrial electrician, working on many western Pennsylvania projects. Dan enjoyed old Harley motorcycles, pontoon boating with Eileen, hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp with his grandchildren. Services will be private.
