Obituary of Madeline A. Lanni

MADELINE A. LANNI It is with overwhelming sadness, on the evening of October 10th, 2020, Madeline A. Lanni succumbed to complications arising from Covid 19. Madeline was 92 yrs young. She is survived by her 3 children Lou C. Lanni (Debbie), Peg A. Goodwin (Bob) and Michael P. Lanni (JoRene)and her 6 Grandchildren Lisa Ney(Alex), Ian, Keith(Jenny) and BJ Goodwin, Cole and Dane(Karen) Taylor. She was also best known as "GiGi" to her 5 Great Grandchildren Louis, Alex, Easton, Peyton & Graham. She leaves behind her sister Nancy Pope and Brother Andy Rossi along with numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Dominic & Madeline Rossi and her soul mate & husband Louis F. Lanni. Madeline did not leave this world without making the most of what she had. Widowed young with 3 children entering adolescence, she navigated those tough waters with grace and wit, not to mention love & discipline. She made sure to find time whenever we needed her yet still managed to travel and have fun, especially with her sisters & sisters-in-law. Family was everything to her and she was fiercely independent. We could not have asked for a better role model. Even in the last few years, struggling with health issues, she still got involved at the Senior Center and loved her trips to" The Rivers". Only a few weeks ago she was playing catch with her Great Grandson. This is what made her so special. A memorial mass and celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the Word of God/St. Anselm Roman Catholic Church. Internment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
