Obituary of Daniel Stoyanoff

Daniel Stoyanoff, of Swissvale, died Friday, July 6, 2012. He was the husband of Rosemary (Gaydik); brother of Nicholas, of Swissvale, Robert, of North Versailles, and Mary Kobetich, of Santa Ana, Calif.; stepdad of Keith Sloan (Danene); grandfather of Amy Sloan, of Brentwood, Holly Sloan, of McKeesport, and Megan Sloan, of Munhall; Pappy of Emily and Dylan Smith; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dan was in the Air Force and served in the Korean War. He worked for U.S. Steel, Carrie Furnace Division. He was a member of the SVF, VFW and American Legion. Dan performed numerous community services for the borough of Swissvale. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Madonna del Castello Roman Catholic Church.
